Nightmare

We bought two round trip tickets to travel to Calgary-Paris returning on June 14 of this year. The trip to Paris was smooth and problem free. Until that point we were pretty satisfied with the airline. On our return we arrived at the airport with plenty of time. At Zoom’s front desk we were stopped just before going into the queue. We were asked for our passport, e-ticket and since we’re not Canadian citizens we were also asked for proof that our immigration status in Canada. We turned-in the requested documentation and waited. Almost 30 minutes later and still with no explanation. One of Zoom’s “Security” personnel appeard with our documents and an armed officer of the French Police. He explained us that there was a problem with my wife’s passport and if we could kindly follow the police officer for further explanation. Still in shock, we asked what was this problem but an explanation was going to be given until we get to the police’s office. Long story short, the “Security” personnel though that my wife’s passport was fraudulent. We were there for almost two hours while they were deliberating weather the passport was fake. The police brought two “experts” to examine the documents and within 15 minutes they both agree that the passport was a valid and original document. Then we were told to come back to Zoom’s front desk to board our plane. We did so, just to find Zoom’s security personnel there where he told us that no matter what the police said, in his opinion the passport was fake and he would not let us board until we provide a new passport issued by the consulate. He also mentioned that if he was wrong the airline would pay for our extra expenses which turned out to be: 4 nights of hotel, meals, a new passport, a two new flight tickets and two days that we missed at our jobs. We filed a detailed report of the above and was told that it was our fault and as stated in the contract “Zoom is not responsible for travel missed due to lack of or improper documentation. No refund will be issued to passengers travelling with insufficient travel documentation. Zoom reserves the right to cancel a passenger booking without refund if he/she has been denied entry into a country”. Then I called Zoom’s Customer Relations Department and spoke to their Manager where she told me the same thing and that the airline was not responsible for any of this and she also said that what happebed to me was a common thing. What bothers me the most is that the same airline took me to Paris with the same passpor!, so the documentation was not incomplete. Does this mean that an airline can take you half way of your trip but and then dump you there?. We had traveled abroad with other airlines and we never had a situation like this. I’m not using Zoom never again.

Beware!

Warning!!! Zoom Airlines is an appalling airline. I had a flight to London this February that ended up being a complete nightmare. The plane was delayed because of engine problems and all of the flight attendants abandoned the passenger in the basement of the Belfast airport for over eight hours without any food or Zoom representatives!! After twelve hours a person working in the Belfast airport saw how horrendous the situation was and tried to buy the passengers flights out of Belfast on her own credit card!! Half of the passengers ended up buying tickets out of Ireland on their own on whatever airlines they could find. I got on a plane on a different airline after 14 hours!! We were given business card to make a complaint. When I got home and made a complaint, I was avoided by Zoom continually for months. After consistent attempts through mail, email, phone, and fax to reach them I finally spoke to a person in customer relations who agreed that I should be compensated and told me that I'd get a voucher in the mail. Then they didn't do it!! They lied!!!! I finally got a manager (named Brigitte) on the phone and told her what had happened and she was venomously rude, saying that it was not Zoom's problem and that what I had been promised was withdrawn because I "should not receive any compensation at all"!! She said that if I had a problem I should take it up with my travel agent and curly announced that the "case is closed" Beware! Beware if you're thinking about flying with Zoom.

Use caution with this airline - not reccomended. My flight out of Toronto was delayed by 13 hours due to a maintenance problem with the elderly aircraft. The scheduled flight would have got me to London in the daytime when I could get a train to my detination right away. Zoom's delay left me stranded at Gatwick airport at 2:00 am - hours before any trains were moving. I had to get a hotel at Gatwick at a cost of $200. Any savings I hoped for in booking Zoom were used to pay for the results of Zoom's maintenance problem. My efforts to get Zoom to take responsibility for this were met with silence. Use at own risk !

Good Flights From Vancouver to Paris (RT) by freddie Luchico, Jr. of the Philippines

I with other seven persons including two septuguanarians flew ZOOM. Overall, it was worth the price. I particularly appreciate the concern for safety as they always orient the passengers on the safety rules when taking off and landing as well as during turbulence. The plane captain and flight attendatns are very attentive to the needs of the passengers. We were fully inform of the things we wanted to know when flying such as the weather, etc. The flight attendants do not just walk but run when called- cheers and congratulations to all of them. Even if the aircraft is now sparkling brandnew, I felt secured and satisfied. We will fly ZOOM again and recommend it to associates and friends. A BIG THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ZOOM. MORE POWER AND SUCCESS.

Good Experince

We travelled from Paris to vancouvre with Zoom airlines in May/June of this year, we had a great experince for a discount airline, their primum class is really worth it and half the price of a regular airline, we would be certainly taking zoom the next time we travel to Canada.
