Never fly US Airlines

Depart from: Cabo, MX   To: Phoenix, AZ - On date: 10/Jan/2010 - Flight Type: Economy

I was recently delayed for 2 full days in Pheonix AZ due to cancelled flight 1228. When I went to check in in Cabo, MX the agent was unable to do so, she had no explanation, gave no assistance, disappeared with my passport for 20 minutes to talk to her manager and finally told me that my flight was cancelled, but I would have to fly to AZ to reschedule. I called in Cabo and waited on hold 20 minutes, an additional 30 in Pheonix to be told there was absolutely no way to get me to Columbus (or any surrounding city) until Monday. I reluctantly agreed and then waited an additional 1.5 hours in line to get my hotel/meal voucher, at that time I was told that they could not provide 2 nights hotel voucher. I had to come back to the airport the following day and sit in standby for a flight they KNEW I would miss so that they would provide me another night in a hotel. That night was directed to a Comfort Inn which was shady at best and downright dangerous at worst. I am a single female traveling alone and was given a room that was open to the street and had a window with a inadequate lock. After little to no sleep I returned to the Airport 1/3/10 to sit in check-in for an hour, where I had to check my suitcase and send it on my standby flight which again I knew I was not going to make, but I could not take the bag through security. I was given ONE $5 meal voucher for an entire day of waiting, even though I was unable to get free breakfast so I could arrive at the airport. The following day 1/4/10 I traveled home to Ohio, which took me an entire day where I should have been at work, so I had to use a personal day from my employer. I was told by my check-in agent that US Airways did not fly direct to Cols so I had to go through Philly (even though my standby flight had been direct) however I found out later that there was an 11am flight that was direct to Columbus which would have saved me 3 hours traveling. My experience with US Airways has been absolutely horrible, with the exception of one customer service agent everyone I dealt with was apathetic, completely inconsiderate, unknowledgeable, and incompetent. I am absolutely appalled at the way this was handled, which resulted in 2 lost days of my time, 1 personal and 1 working day, and over $100 of my own personal money spent through no fault of my own. The only compensation for my inconvenience is a $125 travel voucher, which is less than the cash I spent and WAY less than the $700 offered to other customers for delaying their travel for only hours.

False Charges, Harassment and Abuse

Depart from: Phoenix   To: Philadelphia - On date: 29/Sep/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

For simply complaining about a minor annoyance I was harassed and belittled by two US Air stewardesses who had me hauled out of my seat and brought before the Philadelphia police, homeland security and airline investigators. On 9/25 on a US Air flight a passenger behind me was kicking my seatback. Upon asking him for some consideration he responded with "Do you want to have a problem?" I notified the attendants but they showed no interest in my complaint and instead began screaming insults at me. Here is just a partial list: "What's wrong with you?" "Shut up and stay in your seat!" (I was in my seat.) "Didn't your parents teach you respect for your elders?" "Sit on your hands like a good little boy and shut your mouth." "I don't want to hear your nonsense little boy!" "Call security on him!" When I calmly asked if they even knew what was going on, one particularly loud stewardess yelled "I don't need to know what's going on! Now shut up!!" Upon landing I was hauled out of my seat and greeted by a bevy of officers and agents. Of course after investigating they found nothing actionable and sent me on my way. I spoke to US Air security agent Bob Morley who promised to provide the names of the harassing attendants when I deplaned. But instead of keeping his word I caught sight of Mr. Morley slipping out of the terminal. Upon catching up with him he said he had no intention of providing the names, and admitted his broken promise was merely lip-service – i.e., a lie. Days later I contacted US Air's Office of Consumer Affairs but was again ignored. Our honeymoon was ruined by US Air's staff who yelled and mocked us, then hauled us before state and federal agents without reason. And now they're doing everything possible to shield their own from accountability. I don't know if my wife will fly again or even have the courage to enter an airport. But the callous abuse of power was something we'll never forget.

NEED MORE ROOM

Depart from: dca   To: fll - On date: 13/Jul/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

The lady at checkin was kinda nice and helpful compared to others... we were supposed to be able to sit in a choice seat for free but its because of our status with united we had to wait till the airport to get it and they didnt have 2 together so we were stuck in the back:P The snake boxes were pretty good but they charge for everything that messed up. My 2 real complaints are that we sat on the runway for 30min without the engines running so it got really hot in the cabin and the seats were really tight and no room:(

Despicable airline

Depart from: PHI   To: MCO - On date: 17/Jun/2009 - Flight Type: Business Class

Every thing from check in in Philly to de-boarding in Orlando was horrible. The check in was not smooth the ticket agent were rude and and did not cut me off several times. The flight was not much better the seat were small and there was no leg room. THe crew was not pleasant at all I expected much better from this airline. The landing was ok but when we got to the gate it must of taken a half hour to open the door. The bags took forever to reach baggage claim but they showed up. This will never be ny airline of choice.

Terribly horrible airline

Depart from: MCO   To: PHI - On date: 09/Jun/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

This is the worst Airline I have ever flown on it is absolutely terrible. I flew on the from Orlando to Philadelphia in 2009 and it was the worst airline experience ever. The ticket agents were rude and would not look at you when you were talking. The gate agents were not much better I was a little late so it was getting close to the departure time and they almost did not let me on but the door was open. While on the plane it was still going down hill when you could barely hear the safety announcements it was all static. The cabin was dirty the carpet had rips in it and the seat was uncomfortable and dirty too. The crew was rude and not professional at all. I will never fly this airline again.
