Forced me to check in my carry-on, and they stole valuables from it, now, they won't even cooperate. Very bad service.

My new iPhone 3GS was in my carry-on hand bag. All the airlines i've ever flew with before let me carry it on the plane with me, except the Emirates airline. When i got to Dubai after a very long flight, opened my hand bag to find my brand new iphone missing along with the some accessories. Called the airlines and they were closed for the holidays. Checked with them the following day, and they wouldn't even cooperate, after insisting to talk to a supervisor/manager, they became very rude.

Don't fly Emirates with Kids!!!!

We had booked our reservation more the FOUR months before our return flight from Dubai. Upon arriving at the airport we were told that the airline had overbooked and hence our reservation no longer existed! What is the point of doing a reservation when an airline cannot take and hold one. We travel with little kids (4YO and 6YO) and had reserved to all sit together. The person at the check in counter added insult to injury by saying "Sir, next time don't book on a saturday"- so now all of a sudden this is the passenger or customer's fault for booking months in advance? In the end our little kids and us were spread through out the plane and we had to beg other passengers to let us sit next to our little kids who couldn't possibly fend for themselves on a 13 hour flight!!!!! |

Emirates AKA Pathetic!
Depart from: Karachi To: Dubai - On date: 01/Jun/2009 - Flight Type: Business Class
Cabin Appearance: Clean, extremely spacious so much so that you feel awkward! No amenity packs of any kind by the way for Business Class passengers even though it was an early morning flight and a measly Toothbrush would have helped.
Service at departure airport: Pathetic!!! Boarding was late with no exclusive arrangements for Business Class Passengers being informed about it or even given priority while boarding!!
Seats: Ok / Felt the Width of seat was disproportionate with the length.
Meals: Dinner meal of chicken with rice inedible! Tasteless, Bland! My son didn't even touch his child meal due to its drabby and colorless appearance!!
In Flight Entertainment: Good but not great! Why do they have a huge collection of 2 hour movies for a 1.50 hour flight?? & only 3 short length TV show to choose from!! Pilot episodes of sooo many series could be made a part of the selection available for short haul flights.
Cabin Staff: Attitude was fine but efficiency left a lot to be desired! Although it’s clearly mentioned how many kids are traveling in a flight but had no fun packs or activity bags for my child and to think I booked Business to avoid being ignored!!
Arrival Services: Pathetic again! The ground staff was actually non-existent, the immigration process lengthy with regular bias against Asians whether they travel first class or economy!
Summary: A truly miserable experience from start to finish with no difference between Business and Economy Passengers!! So save your money for the Duty Free. Two thumbs down!!

Nice airline, nice service, nice facility, nice food.

Nice airline...I like this airline very much....but I have to say something. My flight was transferred in Dubai. From Jakarta to Dubai, I didn't get nice aircraft. From Dubai to Dusseldorf, I got almost excellent aircraft. Again, from Dusseldorf to Dubai, I got very nice aircraft. But from Dubai to Jakarta, I got worse aircraft. What does it mean ? ? ? |
